The key to perfect tea enjoyment: the importance of temperature control

Did you know that the art of making tea is like conducting a symphony of flavors? And the secret ingredient to hitting all the right notes is the right temperature and brewing time! Let's delve into the complex world of tea making and discover why it's absolutely essential to get the temperature and infusion time just right.

Whether you're sipping a delicate green tea, a strong black tea, a calming white tea, a captivating oolong or an herbal infusion, each type of tea has its own unique personality. And believe it or not, they all dance to a different temperature beat! 🌡️💃

If you brew your tea with boiling hot water, you may end up with a bitter infusion that startles your taste buds: "Wow! That's too much!" That's certainly not what you want, is it? On the other hand, lukewarm water will make your tea shy and reserved, as if it's whispering, "Can you even taste me?" 🤫

But fear not! By learning the magic of temperature and time control, you can unleash the full potential of your tea leaves and create a symphony of flavors. Green teas & yellow teas like to swing for 2-3 mins at around 70-85°C / 158-185°F, while black teas prefer a bold dance for 4-5 mins at 90-100°C / 194-212°F. Oolongs show their skills best between 2 - 3 min. at 70°C - 80°C / 158°F - 176°F. And herbal teas? Well, they are free spirits that love the boiling point, around 85-100°C / 185-212°F for 4 - 5 min 🎶💃

It should be noted that brewing at the lower end of the respective brewing time and temperature range produces a lighter taste, while brewing at the upper end produces a stronger taste. In between, different combinations lead to different results!
